It's the Way That You Feel When You Know It's Real

Picture this: Y'all've orchestrated the perfect at-home date for your significant other, featuring candles, wine, and a lovingly home-cooked (or lovingly ordered via app) dinner. But but equally your person texts you that they're on their way, you realize that y'all have no idea what sort of music to play to retain the romantic ambience. Subsequently all, yous can't have your early 2000s guilty pleasure songs come up on shuffle while y'all're trying to stare lovingly into your partner's eyes (nothing ruins the mood similar the distinctive "youuuuuu" at the commencement of "Soulja Boy." And yes, that example is based on a true story).

Anyway, I've got you covered with my list of the most beautiful, hopeful, and achingly romantic songs ever written (in my humble opinion). You'll have your crush/partner/Bumble date swooning.

"ROS" - Mac Miller

Almost romantic lyrics: "I'm in your eye, I'yard in your dream/ Then fuck the world it's you and me"

Rationale: When the exterior world becomes brutal, many couples turn in and develop that us-against-the-world mindset. In "ROS," Mac Miller captures what it's like to feel close to someone, spending much of this song describing the fiddling things he loves about his partner, like her "stained glass" eyes, butterscotch-scented skin, and kiwi-flavored lips. The lyrics are intimate in every way, and Mac delivers them with his characteristic rawness.

"These Arms of Mine" - Otis Redding

Most romantic lyrics: "These arms of mine, they are solitary/ Lone and feeling blueish/ These artillery of mine, they are yearning/ Yearning from wanting you"

Rationale: This song hits me right in the chest. It's impossible not to feel your arms and breast aching like Reddings' when he sings about called-for to agree his lover. The music crescendos around his polish voice as he begs,  "And if yous would let them hold yous/ Oh, how grateful I would be." It's such a sweet, hostage plea for dearest, and its focus on physicality is pretty sexy, too.

"Ex Gene" - Lauryn Colina

Most romantic lyrics: "See, no one loves you more than me/ and no one ever will"

Rationale: No ane knows how to obliterate me emotionally quite like Lauryn Hill does. In "Ex Factor" (and on this whole album, allow'southward exist real), she's vulnerable, baring all her devotion to her fellow. We recognize straightaway that her relationship is toxic, but Hill's honesty is so cute that nosotros humble listeners accept no option but to sit, transfixed, and listen.

"Skinny Love" - Bon Iver

About romantic lyrics: "Told my honey to wreck it all/ Cut out all the ropes and let me autumn"

Rationale: When this song came out in 2007, I was in eye schoolhouse. I could not finish singing it every bit I traipsed through my house, near-tears as I crooned almost "the sink of blood and crushed veneer," as though my twelve years on earth had been rife with tragic love diplomacy.

Even so, this vocal still holds upward. Bon Iver is a main at depicting what it's similar to fully surrender yourself to someone while aware that they may hurt you in the terminate. I notwithstanding sing this song while I lounge around my little studio apartment, drawing on real-life experiences this fourth dimension, though I clinch yous that none of them involved blood-filled sinks or crushed veneers.

"Leather and Lace" - Stevie Nicks & Don Henley

Most romantic lyrics: "Lovers forever, confront to face up/ My city, your mountains/ Stay with me, stay/ I need you to love me/ I need y'all today/ Give me to me your leather, take from me my lace"

Rationale: This is Stevie Nicks' lyricism at its near poignant. She wrote "Leather and Lace" herself and then performed it with Don Henley (of The Eagles) while they were dating. This duet is beautiful in and of itself, but their chemistry and passion for each other makes information technology all the more impactful. An ex played this for me one time, unprompted, and I remember thinking, My God, dude. Why would yous practice this to me?

Wrecked.

The Way You lot Expect Tonight" - Frank Sinatra

Most romantic lyrics: "Lovely, never, never change/ proceed that breathless charm/ won't yous please suit information technology?/ 'Cause I dear you/ Just the fashion y'all expect this evening"

Rationale: Ah, yes. The song that plays at every wedding on earth. Pop songs are popular for a reason, though, and this ane endures considering of the accepting, unconditional sort of love that it depicts. In addition to Sinatra's version, I'g besides fractional to Fred Astaire's rendition in the 1936 film Swing Time and the sweetness yet tongue-in-cheek visuals go along with it.

"Everlasting Light" - The Black Keys

Most romantic lyrics: "Let me be your everlasting light/ Your railroad train going abroad from hurting/ Love is the coal that makes this railroad train roll/ Allow me be your everlasting low-cal"

Rationale: If you read the lyrics without the music, the whole song sounds kind of like a late nineteenth century poem. The honey in this vocal is so pure and hopeful, and you'll definitely gain absurd-points past playing The Black Keys on a offset date.

"To Know Him Is To Love Him" - Amy Winehouse

Near romantic lyrics: "To know, know, know him/ Is to love, dearest, love him/ Just to run into that smile/ Makes my life worthwhile"

Rationale: No ane does unbridled love similar Amy Winehouse. Her soulful vocalism takes center stage in this Phil Spector cover, and if y'all're not already in love, it volition make y'all want to exist.

"Like Real People Do" - Hozier

Most romantic lyrics: "I will not ask you where you came from/ I volition not ask yous, neither should you/ Honey, just put your sweet lips on my lips/ We should just kiss like existent people do"

Rationale: Here, Hozier is trying to convince his honey interest to forget that they both accept pasts (who doesn't?) and to just love him. In that location'south a sense that both people in the song consider themselves odd in some fashion (again, who doesn't?), and that they've been searching for partners like each other for ages. "Like Real People Do" reminds united states of how miraculous information technology feels to honey and be loved back.

"Can't Take My Eyes Off Y'all" - Franki Valli & The Four Seasons

Most romantic lyrics: "You're just also good to be true/ Tin can't accept my eyes off of you/ Yous'd be like heaven to touch/ I wanna hold you and so much"

Rationale: To quote every Boomer from my home state of New Jersey: They simply don't brand 'em similar this anymore. And it's true―this song manages to balance emotional and sexual yearning without existence rough.

And just... the gratitude Valli feels when he sings about loving his girl then much that he thanks God he's alive. My Lord. They actually just do not brand 'em quite like this anymore.

"Forrest Gump" - Frank Ocean

Most romantic lyrics: "My fingertips and my lips/ They burn from the cigarettes/ Forrest Gump, y'all run my mind, boy/ Running on my mind, boy"

Rationale: This is Frank Bounding main's near criminally underrated song and I will fight anyone who has anything negative to say almost it. In fact, I once made a very loud, spirited defense of this vocal when I was in high school, right after Body of water'south ill-received performance of information technology at the 2013 Grammys.

The song is told from the perspective of Jenny in the 1994 film Forrest Gump. It's virtually a broken, tired person coming back to their pure, enduring honey later on a great bargain of time has passed. It's especially meaningful, in my stance, because Ocean penned the song in the wake of his very public coming-out.

"Take Me The Fashion I Am" - Ingrid Michaelson

Most romantic lyrics: "'Crusade I love y'all more than I could ever promise/ And you take me the way I am"

Rationale: What a throwback! Ingrid Michaelson was responsible for some of the sweetest manic-pixie-dream-daughter love songs of the early 2000s, and this i was her nearly popular. Michaelson rejoices in having found a partner who loves her, flaws and all, and she responds in kind, promising to repair what her partner breaks and buy him Rogaine when his hair starts falling out. It's a hope to beloved someone forever.

"I'1000 Not Dead" - P!nk

Most romantic lyrics: "Right beyond the cigarette and the devilish smiling/You're my scissure of sunlight/ You tin practice the math a thousand ways/ But you can't erase the facts/ That others come and others go/ Only you always come back"

Rationale: This is my favorite era of P!nk'due south music. In "I'm Not Dead," she writes a frank, unapologetic love song almost being a flawed human deeply in dear with another flawed man. Waxing poetic about her and her swain's (her future married man, Cary Hart, by the way) tattoos and alluding to her ain mental illness, P!nk eschews all tired clichés virtually love in favor of something far more than accurate and affecting.

"Hannah Hunt" - Vampire Weekend

Near romantic lyrics: "A human being of faith said hidden optics could run into what I was thinkin'/ I just smiled and told him/ That was only true of Hannah"

Rationale: Oh, Ezra Koenig, how you wound me with your beautiful words! In this song, our narrator seems to exist moving around the U.S. with his beloved Hannah until she grows homesick for the eastward coast. Having lived in New England for around seven years, I'k fractional to this song for its "freezing beaches" references, but it's also a gentle tribute to the way time glides away when you're with someone you love.

"A Song For You" - Donny Hathaway

Most romantic lyrics: "I love you in a place/ Where there'due south no infinite or time/ I love you for my life/ You're a friend of mine/ And when my life is over/ Remember when we were together"

Rationale: There have been many versions of this song, but this one's my favorite. It was as well Amy Winehouse's favorite. Donny Hathaway sings this with such feeling that 1 can't help merely feel he'southward reciting a memoir when he sings his apology to a woman he neglected to settle down with considering he was also busy performing around the globe.

"Maps" - Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "Don't devious/ My kind's your kind/ I'll stay the same."

Rationale: Yes, this song is 90 per centum just Karen O singing "Await, they don't love you like I love you," but it'southward so powerful! If y'all say something the right way, and the accompanying music is expert enough, there's no demand to embellish much more than. Proof: Beyoncé clearly nods to this song in her 2016 single "Hold Up." "Maps" endures, over a decade later, across genres.

"If I Ain't Got You lot" - Alicia Keys

Most romantic lyrics: "Some people desire diamond rings/ Some just want everything/ But everything means cipher/ If I ain't got you"

Rationale: This song is all the more touching when you recollect that she wrote it just as she was first to get famous. She promises that her renown―the fruit of all her labor―along with promises of riches, jewelry, or endless life would all hateful zilch if she didn't have her homo.

"Pino Tree Lines" - Told Slant

Almost romantic lines: "I am the girl my parents made/ Why don't y'all honey me anyhow/ 'Cause I love the way you take upwardly space"

Rationale: Devastating genius. Atomic number 82 singer Felix Walworth delivers this song and then earnestly that his voice literally cracks during that concluding line. I've never heard a simpler or more startlingly accurate depiction of admiration than loving the style someone takes up space.

"Inevitable" - Shakira

Almost romantic lyrics: "To be even more honest/ No one thinks about you lot/ The way I practise" (Translated from Castilian)

Rationale: Shakira spends nearly of this song laying out all her imperfections―that she doesn't know how to make coffee, that she doesn't empathize soccer, that she oversleeps, etc.―and so proceeds to ask her man to love her anyhow.

"I Establish You" - Alabama Shakes

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "I call up all them lonely days/ I traveled out on my ain/ And then yous brought me everything/ Y'all made my house a abode"

Rationale: This is a celebration of finally finding your person. Then who improve to mind to it with than your person? Romantic, indeed.

"Rag Doll" - Franki Valli & The 4 Seasons

Near romantic lines: "I'd change her deplorable rags/ Into glad rags if I could/ My folks won't allow me/ 'Cause they say that she'southward no skilful."

Rationale: Another Iv Seasons song, yes. I'yard from Jersey. Sue me.

Franki Valli declares his unconditional love for a girl much poorer than he is, fantasizing most replacing her tattered apparel with lace and finery. In spite of her poverty, he ends the song by crying, "I love you but the way yous are."

He wants to give everything to someone who tin offer him zero fabric. All he wants is her.

"Since I've Been Loving You" - Led Zeppelin

Most romantic lyrics: "But baby, since I've been loving you, aye/ I'grand about to lose my worried listen/ Oh, yeah"

Rationale: Man, these lyrics await so underwhelming when written downward sans musical accompaniment. Information technology's tragic.

What makes this song and then romantic, to me, is the organ and bass piece of work past John Paul Jones pair with Robert Found's searing vocals. It's a power blues song that hits you right in the gut. If desperate desire were a sound, this would be it.

"You Got Me" - Erykah Badu and The Roots

Well-nigh romantic lines: "If you don't worry 'bout where/ I been or who I saw  or/ What club I went to with my homies/ Baby, don't worry, yous know that you got me"

Rationale: I cried when I saw this live. Erykah reassures her boyfriend during the chorus that she'll always be loyal to him, while Blackness Thought (lead MC of The Roots) uses his verses to tell the story of a lifelong romance. Information technology'south the best love song in hip hop, hands downwardly.

"(Yous Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman - Aretha Franklin

Most romantic lyrics: "When my soul was in the lost and constitute/ You lot came forth to merits information technology/ I didn't know just what was wrong with me/ 'Til your kiss helped me name information technology"

Rationale: We should heal ourselves rather than wait around for someone to heal us, but that doesn't mean that love can't be a healing feel. It's actually romantic to thank someone for making you feel skilful, and that's precisely what this song (written past the flawless Carole Male monarch) is most.

"Jade" - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

Almost romantic lyrics: "We can't help but follow, she'southward Buddha, just watch her/ She moves like an old gypsy woman but swears she'due south a girl/ And all that she asks we'll allow her/ For Jade is the girl of the hr"

Rationale: Alex Ebert wrote this song for Jade Castrinos when they were both still dating and still the frontpeople of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. The song is a placidity love letter to Castrinos―you could imagine Ebert singing it to her at dark by the campfire while the remainder of the band is asleep (that's this band'due south vibe, really). It'south a shame that we no longer become to watch the sweet relationship between these talented musicians, merely at to the lowest degree nosotros'll e'er have this hippie love vocal.

"Wild Horses" - The Rolling Stones

Most romantic lyrics: "Graceless lady/ Yous know who I am/ You know I can't let you/ Slide through my hands/ Wild horses/ Couldn't drag me away"

Rationale: One of the wildest bands of the '60s and '70s also happened to write i of the near poignant songs virtually honey and devotion. This is about a long, deep intimacy betwixt two people, and of beingness physically unable to resist the person you adore.

"Jim Bogart" - The Front Bottoms

Nearly romantic lyrics: "I would sleep amend on your floor/ Than I would ever in my bed/ And if your carpet makes my face up itch/ It'd however be heaven in my head"

Rationale: "Jim Bogart" opens with the in a higher place lyrics, sung with atomic number 82 vocalizer Brian Sella'southward signature raw vocals. He abandons all pride in his love for this girl, promising to practice his guitar every night, to sleep on her flooring without complaint, and to to ignore his doctor's advice―all to win her love. We shouldn't have to debase ourselves for honey (*rolls optics* yep, yeah yeah), but this is art. And if we're being honest, this sentiment is relatable for anyone who's prayed for their love to be reciprocated.

"Loving Y'all" - Elvis Presley

Virtually romantic lyrics: "If I'chiliad seen with someone new/ Don't be blue, don't you be blue/ I'll exist true-blue, I'll be true/ Always true, true to yous"

Rationale: Elvis tells his love not to get jealous or to believe the hype effectually him and other women, reassuring her that she's the one for him. Although multiple sources take claimed that Elvis did, indeed, cheat on his wife, Priscilla, this remains his sweetest love song.

"Melissa" - The Allman Brothers Band

Virtually romantic lyrics: "Knowing many, loving none/ Bearin' sorrow, havin' fun/ But back home he'll ever run/ To sweet Melissa"

Rationale: Here, the Allman Brothers sing almost a traveling musician who can't get over his sweetheart no matter how many other women he meets. She always ends up resurfacing in his heed, and somewhen, he always returns to her.

"My Old Human" - Joni Mitchell

Most romantic lyrics: "He'south my sunshine in the morning/ He's my fireworks at the end of the mean solar day/ He's the warmest chord I ever head/ Play that warm chord, play and stay, babe"

Rationale: Mitchell's soaring mezzo-soprano meanders through a portrait of her human relationship in this song, insisting throughout that, "We don't demand no piece of newspaper from the city hall." She's saying that she doesn't demand external validation of the human relationship―this man gives her all she needs to feel secure in their bond.

"Devil In a New Dress" - Kanye W, Rick Ross

Near romantic lyrics: "Put your hands to the constellations/ The way y'all look should be a sin, you my awareness"

Rationale: Kanye West is a pretty polarizing figure, just this is still one of my favorite albums of all time. Information technology's a bittersweet tribute to his infamous human relationship with Amber Rose, and this song encapsulates the often-sexy, always-complicated connection betwixt two people who aren't skillful for each other, yet tin't stay abroad from one another.

"Love of My Life (An Ode to Hip Hop)" - Erykah Badu, Common

Most romantic lyrics: "Just that is all behind me/ 'Cause now there is no other/ My love is his and his is mine/ A friend became the/ Dearest of my life"

Rationale: Conventional advice tells the states to autumn in love with someone who tin can be our  friend, as well. This song is about two lifelong all-time friends who detect their style back to each other after time spent autonomously. With her famously beguiling voice, Erykah Badu captures the joy of being truly known by i's partner.

"A Sunday Kind of Dearest" - Etta James

Most romantic lyrics: "I want a Sunday kind of dear/ A love to last past Saturday night/ I want to know it's more than love at showtime sight"

Rationale: We've all been at this signal before. If Etta James were to take written this song today, she would have been explaining that she was sick of i-nighttime-stands and Tinder/Bumble/Hinge dates that go nowhere. She'd be maxim she was tired of sweaty strangers in bars shouting into her ear, over deafening music, asking if she wants to have a shot.

Instead, she'd desire something substantial. Someone to relax and binge Schitt'southward Creek reruns with on the weekends.

May we all find that Sun kind dearest.

"Baby I'1000 Yours" - Chill Monkeys

Most romantic lyrics: "Baby, I'm yours/ And I'll be yours until the stars fall from the sky/ Yours until the rivers all run dry/ In other words, until I dice"

Rationale: This song sounds like information technology was written in the '50s or '60s. In some ways, information technology's your run-of-the-mill ho-hum vocal, merely there'south something charming well-nigh the Arctic Monkeys being the ones to perform this retro pledge of devotion.

"She Will Be Loved" - Maroon five

Near romantic lyrics:"I don't mind spendin' everyday / Out on your corner in the pourin' pelting"

Rationale:I think listening to this vocal in middle schoolhouse, wishing that the boy I had a crush on would love me enough to stand outside my window in the rain. In hindsight, that would have been bad-mannered and inconvenient to explain to my mother, and these days I would probably find such beliefs creepy (when I'm in my pajamas in my apartment, peacefully eating Takis and watching The Sopranos, the concluding thing I need is a homo standing outside, watching me from the street like something out of The Exorcist), merely the sentiment of this vocal still stands.

"Considering the Night" - Patti Smith

Near romantic lyrics: "Come on, now, try and sympathise/ The way I feel when I'm in your hands/ Take my hand, come up undercover/ They can't hurt you lot now"

Rationale: In this song, which was originally written by lyrical fable Bruce Springsteen, Smith promises her lover that he'south safe with her. If yous've read Smith's book Just Kids, you'll probably listen to this song and recollect of her and Robert Mapplethorpe singing and dancing to information technology down the streets of lower Manhattan.

"La Vie En Rose" - Edith Piaf

Nigh romantic lyrics: "When he holds me in his arms/ And he speaks to me softly/ I encounter the globe through rose-colored spectacles" (Translated from French)

Rationale: Y'all definitely know this vocal. It's the become-to for every romantic scene in every American motion-picture show about France. And, granted, it'south a cracking pick for a dinner date, specially if yous want to get a little wearisome dancing started.

"Someday" - The Growlers

Most romantic lyrics: "But stay for one more night/ 1 solar day you're gonna exist my wife/ You'll never have to worry over again/ I'm gonna be your man"

Rationale: It sounds pb vocalizer Brooks Nielsen's now-wife was getting really sick of his bullshit, and that he wrote this song as a plea to become her to say. It's poetic, energetic, and hopeful, and it would take worked on me, too, tbh.

"Wouldn't It Be Dainty" - The Beach Boys

Most romantic lyrics: "Wouldn't it be nice if we were older?/ And so we wouldn't have to await so long"

Rationale: This is sung from the perspective of someone who's already certain almost who he wants to spend the rest of his life with. And he's wishing that the residual of his life could start right now.

"Stay" - Rihanna, Mikky Ekko

Most romantic lyrics: "Not really sure how to feel about it/ Somethin' in the way you move/ Makes me experience similar I tin't live without you lot"

Rationale: Beloved isn't a formula. There's no real logic to why we fall in dearest with some people but not others, and Rihanna hits the boom on the caput when she says it's simply "something in the fashion [he] motility[s]." It's reminiscent of The Beatles' vocal "Something." Speaking of which...

"Something" - The Beatles

Nearly romantic lyrics: "Something in the fashion she moves / Attracts me like no other lover / Something in the way she woos me / I don't want to leave her now"

Rationale:This vocal is a slow, dreamy ode on an otherwise bluesy album. George Harrison was the Beatle who penned it, writing that he wasn't sure what exactly triggered his love or whether it would grow.  All he knew was that the beloved was there, and that that should be enough.

"Androgynous" - The Replacements

Near romantic lyrics: "And they love each other so/ Androgynous/ Closer than we know, love each other so/ Androgynous"

Rationale: This song is about two non-binary people falling in dearest, which is pretty cool for a song from 1984. Our main characters, archetypically named Dick and Jane, love each other regardless of gender. The Replacements make a compelling statement near why traditional gender roles and vesture should brand no difference if you're truly in love with someone.

"I'll Exist Seeing You" - Billie Vacation

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "I'll find you lot in the morning time sun/ In every lovely summertime's twenty-four hour period/ In everything that's right and gay/ I'll ever think of you"

Rationale: Yous know when yous're freshly in love (or heartbroken), and everything reminds y'all of that person? That's what this song is almost. Everything around Holiday―the natural globe, a park, a cafe, a carousel―is a fond reminder of her dear.

"Sunday Candy" - Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment

Most romantic lyrics: "You've got to movement information technology slowly/ Accept it in my torso like information technology's holy/ I've been waiting for you lot for the whole week/ I've been praying for y'all, you're my Sunday candy"

Rationale: The Social Experiment is the hip hop collective that boasts members such equally Adventure the Rapper and Vic Mensa (the quondam of which is featured heavily on this song). Jamila Wood performs the chorus to this vocal so sweetly that it's like shooting fish in a barrel to forget the sexual implications, and she and Chance tell the story of a couple that spends a calendar week at a time missing each other, absorbed in thoughts of one another until they're finally reunited.

"Come up As You Are" - Nirvana

Most romantic lyrics: "Come as yous are/ As y'all were/ Every bit I desire yous to be"

Rationale: At that place are many interpretations of what this vocal means, ranging from mental health to friendship to commentary on inauthenticity. Merely, to me, "Come As You lot Are" works as the ultimate grunge love song; as a promise to love and appreciate someone but the way they are.

"Please, Delight, Delight" - James Brownish

Most romantic lyrics: "Baby please, baby delight, delight me/ Babe please, baby delight don't go/ Don't go, I said infant, don't baby/ I love you lot and then"

Rationale: This song is almost entirely comprised of James Brown repeating "please," and, supposedly, he got a lot of flack from his producers virtually that before its release. But, like the Yes Yeah Yeahs' "Maps," this runway's magic lies in the passion with which it's delivered–and James Chocolate-brown is nothing if not passionate.

"I Will Ever Love Y'all" - Dolly Parton

Most romantic lyrics: "And I hope life volition treat you kind/ And I hope that y'all have all/ That y'all always dreamed of/ Oh, I exercise wish you joy/ And I wish yous happiness/ But higher up all this/ I wish you dear"

Rationale: Without a incertitude, you're familiar with Whitney Houston's rendition of "I Will Ever Honey You," only I dear Dolly Parton'southward soft-spoken, country version as well. Where Houston belts, Parton croons, making this a great alternative for when you want to hear this song on a placidity evening in.

 "Songbird" - Fleetwood Mac

Most romantic lyrics: "And I wish you lot all the beloved in the globe/ But most of all, I wish it from myself/ And the songbirds keep singing/ Like they know the score"

Rationale: Fleetwood Mac's members were notorious for hooking upwards within their ranks, and Christine McVie (writer and master vocalizer on this song) was no exception. This is a unique dear vocal, because information technology does unconditional love unlike whatsoever other: Information technology illustrates how it'due south entirely possible to dearest someone and want the all-time for them while accepting, albeit sadly, that yous might not be that all-time affair.

"Commencement Day of My Life" - Brilliant Eyes

Virtually romantic lyrics: "But I realized I need you/ And I wondered if I could come home"

Rationale: This Bright Eyes rails makes me wish I was meliorate at playing guitar. Frontman Conor Oberst makes a frank plea for his dear, telling her, "I'g glad I didn't die before I met you," and asking for permission to approach. It'southward an exercise in startling honesty, and the effect, like the whole anthology, is profound.

"Sea of Love" - Cat Power

Most romantic lyrics: "Come with me, my love/ To the body of water, the sea of love/ I wanna tell you/ How much I dearest you "

Rationale: Originally, the final vocal on this list was going to be T.I.'s "Whatever You Like" because I'm adamant that information technology volition play at my hymeneals i 24-hour interval (I'1000 not kidding), just "Sea of Love" is too romantic to pass up. With minimal instrumentation, Cat Ability delivers a cursory but heartfelt love letter whose genius lies in its profound simplicity. ten/10.
